Being in a photo does not mean you own it
Only upload photos and videos you created and own, or have permission to use in your agency portfolio and intended casting submissions. Keep written proof of permission.
What you can upload
- Selfies and videos you created, provided you own the rights and have any other required permissions, including for music.
- Professional photos when the rights holder permits portfolio display and agency casting use. Paying for a shoot alone does not establish those permissions.
- Campaign, runway, backstage, and event photos with the necessary rights-holder permission and in accordance with client restrictions and embargoes.
What you cannot upload without the necessary rights
- AFP, Getty Images, AP, Shutterstock, or other press and stock images unless your license covers this specific use and our display.
- Images downloaded from Google, Pinterest, Instagram, news sites, magazines, or another person’s portfolio merely because you found them online or appear in them.
- Material with watermarks, credits, or rights information removed or obscured without authorization.
Credit is not a substitute for permission. A social-media permission may not cover an agency website, casting package, client download, or advertisement.
If you are unsure
Do not upload the image yet. Ask the rights holder for permission covering the intended use or contact [email protected] for guidance. For platform uploads, obtain ownership or permission rather than assuming an exception applies; this rule does not decide whether fair use may apply in a particular dispute.
Review your existing portfolio
Remove material for which you lack the required permission and contact us if you cannot remove it completely. If a complaint is pending, contact us so relevant records can be preserved. Do not re-upload disabled material or use another account to bypass a restriction.
